“Jacksonville: A City with Endless Potential”
This wonderful city of Jacksonville has so much more to offer than its miles and miles of sandy beaches, on average 325 days of sunshine, and it’s limited exposure to major hurricanes (we haven’t had one since 1964). We are a community that is growing in so many different ways.
If you are a corporation who might be considering relocating your businesses don’t count Jacksonville out. JAX Port is an International Trade Seaport. The port has created 65,000 jobs with an annual economic impact of $19 billion dollars. JAX is #1 in trade between US and Puerto Rico. Seventy-five percent of all cargo to Puerto Rico moves on nine sailings a week from JAX provided by the four major US flag carriers to Puerto Rico. It is #3 on the East Coast for vehicle imports and exports.
The new container services that have come to the new TRAPAC terminal near the Dames Point Bridge are offering some major world areas. Mitsui OSK and Yang Ming for north ASIA, and Med Shipping for Europe and many worldwide ports. There are several smaller lines offering Caribbean, Africa, Mid East and South American points. Check out their website for more details. http://jaxport.com
